Michelle Thorne | Director
Michelle is a multi-award winning Director, Producer, and Actor based in her home community of Wood Buffalo, AB. Recent directing credits include The Other Side of the Pole, and Steel Magnolias for Keyano Theatre Company, Fanny & Manny Tie the Knot, The Most Massive Woman Wins, and Louis and Dave for Theatre; Just Because.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dramatic Arts from the University of Lethbridge. She is co-founder and Artistic Director for Theatre; Just Because. She has also participated in the Wood Buffalo arts community as the Program Manager for Arts Council Wood Buffalo, regional representative for Alberta Drama Festival Association, and sits on the Board of Directors for Theatre Alberta.
Mike Hallett | Musical Director
From the roots of the Oil Sand's Hotel, and a long-standing DJ in Fort McMurray, DJ. Mike has been providing musical entertainment to residents of RMWB for the past 14 years. With his love for music and the drive to help the community, he has provided services for Charity events and non-profit groups near and far, also to corporate and private functions! With the latest additions of providing the Starlite DJ Photo-Booth, he can now allow his customers a lifetime memories of the great times! Originally from Labrador City Newfoundland, he grew up with his parents here in the city since the age of 7 years old, Attending many events and learning the likes of the locals, he has built his business of Starlite DI as a top 40, old school DI, Specializing in the older genre of music from AC/DC to the new again of Pitull.

Wendy Thorne - Costume Genie is over the moon with excitement that she gets to choose the outfits for the whole wedding party on this yery special day. Nothing could be more fun than combining her favorite things of working with her sister and idol Michelle Thorne and the amazing cast and crew and dressing them al up in high fashion!
Danna Rae Evasiuk | Lighting Designer
Danna-Re Evasiuk, Fort McMurray born and raised, is a Co-Founder and Designer at Theatre; Just Because - a new non-profit theatre company that's focused on providing theatrical workshops to the community. She graduated from Red Deer College’s Technical. Theatre and Design program in 2007, currently works as the house technician at the Suncor Energy Centre for the Performing Arts; and has been immersed in Fort McMurray’s community theatre scene. Most recently, she's designed lighting and composed original music for The Most Massive Woman Wins (Theatre; Just Because, 2015) and stage-managed The Vagina Monologues (Keyano Theatre Stage 2, 2014). She's incredibly honoured to be a part of this fantastic production for Waypoints.
Megan Webber | Stage Manager
Megan Webber is a grade 12 student who goes to Westwood Community School, and she has been involved in theater for the last three years. Fanny and Manny Tie the Knot is her first theatre experience outside of Westwood. Previously, she has been involved with Night Witches, A Rope Against the Sun, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Fanny and Manny is the first show that Megan has Stage Managed for, and she is very excited for the whole experience. Megan hopes that you all have a wonderful time watching Fanny and Manny Tie the Knot!
